Performing Arts Scholarships


St Aloysius College has an exciting Performing Arts Program that offers exceptional performance opportunities for our students. From College Musical Productions that utilise experts from the international musical theatre profession, through to liturgical choral works, modern performances in Drama and an extensive Instrumental Music Program.


Our students get opportunities to perform in iconic theatre venues such as Melbourne’s State Theatre, Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre and sacred venues including St Patrick’s Cathedral.


Newly developed, purpose built Performing Arts & Technology Precinct indicates the support for Performing Arts and our students accessing dynamic and creative programs right through to VCE.


Scholarship Application Criteria:

  • A passion for Music, Dance or Drama
  • A written summary of performance experience
  • Whilst not compulsory, an indication of instrumental examination level (eg. AMEB, ANZCA, Trinity College etc)
  • A brief statement on how your passion for the performing arts will benefit our community.


Audition Requirements:

  • Music: Prepare two pieces on your chosen instrument (includes Voice), no longer than 2 minutes each


  • Drama: Monologue or Solo piece - Applicants will prepare a character portrayal from a set script or a script written by the applicant (length - 2 minutes maximum).
