Career and Pathways Evening

Following on from the success of last year’s Career and Pathways Evening, this year’s event took place on the evening of Thursday 22nd June. The aim of the Career and Pathways Evening was to expose Year 10 to 12 students to a number of professions prior to their decision making about their VCE subject choices and possible tertiary pathway.

We were very lucky to have had so many wonderful guest speakers who volunteered their time to share with our students the journey that lead them to their current profession, their daily personal experiences and other interesting aspects of their career.

Year 10 and 11 students are now in the midst of choosing their subjects for 2018 and Year 12 students are in the process of finalising their VTAC applications for 2018. The advice given to students by our guest speakers was excellent timing and very valuable which was to “follow your passion and you’ll never work day”.
