The CEM hosted their inaugural STEM MAD exhibition, where schools and students from across Melbourne were invited to submit entries to showcase the work that they have been doing to ‘Make A Difference’ in the fields of STEM. Successful entries would eventually be judged by a panel of industry experts on a range of criteria such as innovation, design and communication of the project. Over 60 teams from several catholic schools were selected to showcase their work and of the 60 teams St Aloysius College had two entries that looked to tackle issues such as access to clean drinking water and the growing number of homeless people.

Congratulations to the St Aloysius College students on the following awards:

  • Swinburne University - Best Engineered project
  • Monash University - Best Social Entrepreneurial project
  • Catholic Education Melbourne - Overall First Place
