A special welcome is extended to the College’s new Year 7 students and their families as they began their secondary schooling journey with us today, as well as to students joining the community across other year levels. The College looks forward to each new family experiencing the strong sense of belonging that is a hallmark of St Aloysius.
Throughout February, information sessions will be held for families of students in Years 8–12, providing key details about curriculum, wellbeing and year-level expectations. These sessions support the College’s commitment to strong partnerships with families, recognising the important role that parent and carer engagement plays in student learning and wellbeing.
The start of the year also brings new staff members to the College. These staff will be formally introduced to the wider College community in the coming weeks and are warmly welcomed for the experience and expertise they bring to learning, wellbeing and the wider life of the College.
Guiding the community in 2026 is the College Theme, Mercy Unfolding – the blessing of unity dwells amongst us. The theme invites students, staff and families to continue nurturing a culture grounded in respect, compassion and shared purpose.
Families are reminded that College policies are accessible via SEQTA Engage and are encouraged to familiarise themselves with these throughout the year. I also invite parents to join the Community Connect Parents and Friends Association Facebook Community, and follow the school's accounts on LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram, where ongoing updates are regularly shared.
We look ahead to 2026 as a positive and collaborative year, working in close partnerships with families to ensure every student is known, supported and challenged to grow – academically, socially and in character – throughout the year ahead.
