Dear Parents and Carers,
As we draw towards the conclusion of Semester 1, it is a wonderful time to reflect on and celebrate everything our students have achieved. This semester has seen our community demonstrate tremendous commitment, resilience and growth, and there is so much of which to be proud.
Beyond the classroom, our students have thrown themselves into a rich and diverse range of co-curricular activities, from sport and music to debating, community service and much more.
This semester also brought two standout celebrations that our community will long remember. Last Friday, we came together to honour the feast day of our patron saint, St Aloysius Gonzaga, a joyful occasion that reminded us of the values of holiness, humility and service that lie at the heart of our College.
Adding to the spirit of celebration, our College Production of Mamma Mia! was a spectacular showcase of the extraordinary talent within our College. The dedication and passion our students brought to every rehearsal and performance was exceptional, and the result was a production that our entire community celebrated with immense pride.
Congratulations to all students, staff and families who made it such a memorable event.
Students will also soon receive their End of Semester 1 Reports, which reflect the hard work and effort they have invested throughout the term.
We encourage you to take the time to review the report and assessment feedback together with your child and use it as an opportunity to acknowledge their progress and set goals for the semester ahead.
Yesterday, our Year 11 and Year 12 students toured the new Senior Years Campus alongside members of staff, and I was told they loved it!
Students had the opportunity to experience the outstanding facilities firsthand, moving through the dedicated learning, study and collaborative spaces that have been designed specifically to support them through their senior years.
We are in the final stages of the development process, working directly with our builders and project team to secure the Occupancy Certificate. The moment that is received, we will confirm and communicate the official commencement date to all families.
This is a significant moment for our College community, and we are proud to be bringing it to life for our students. We look forward to sharing more news very soon.
I wish all students, staff and families a safe break.
Heavenly Father,
As we come to the close of this semester, we thank You for the dedication and growth of our students — for the grace You have given them to persevere through challenges, to strive for excellence and to support one another along the way.
We give thanks for our teachers and staff, who so generously share their knowledge, their time and their vocation in service of our young people.
We thank our parents and families, whose love, sacrifice and partnership are the foundation upon which this community is built.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
