ACS AFL

I have had the pleasure of coaching the first ever St Aloysius Boys Football Team. Our season started early in Term 2 and will continue throughout Term 3. Despite not winning a game yet, the boys have turned up every week with the right attitude. For some of our players, it is their first time playing footy and they have all supported one another to get better each week.

It's important to remember that success isn't just measured in victories. Our footy team's season has been about growth, perseverance, and character-building. Each game provides valuable lessons and opportunities for improvement. Our players have shown immense dedication to training, putting in the effort to enhance their skills and teamwork.

As the season progresses, we are not disheartened by the win-loss record. Instead, we choose to focus on the invaluable experiences gained, the friendships forged, and the positive attitude that shines through every time we take the field. Our journey may be challenging, but we continue to march forward, determined to finish the season on a high note.

ACS is a fun way to have our skills and energy put to great use. For ACS footy, we have Thursday morning trainings which involves running laps and kicking footy’s. On Tuesday afternoons we have our matches where we are always giving the opposing team our best shot. Unfortunately we have lost our games but have still played great. Tate kicked our first ever goal for the year 7 boys.
