Chess Championships
On Monday 19th May, ten St Aloysius Chess Club regulars were accompanied by Mr Bina and Mr Blomeley to St Michael’s Grammar in St Kilda to participate in the annual ACS Chess Tournament. There they enjoyed a day of often intense competition from other student chess enthusiast from around Melbourne.
Every student scored two or more points from the seven rounds of chess that they played, with Alex Pham getting the best result from St Aloysius students on the day. Everyone enjoyed the change of pace and challenge that the event provided.
