DAV

Debating

St Aloysius students from Years 9–12 have enjoyed a strong DAV debating season, held at St Bernard’s College. Across three rounds so far, teams have tackled challenging topics such as: That the cosmetics and fashion industries do more harm than good, That police should be required to use body‑worn cameras, That airlines should be banned from overbooking flights, and That all young people should complete 50 hours of community service each year. There have been many impressive performances, with several close, well‑argued debates. Notably, the Year 11, B1 team remains firmly in contention for the play‑offs, keeping the season exciting for the College community. All students should be commended for their commitment to the program which continues into next term.
