Novum Principium – a New Beginning
How appropriate that our annual Art & Technology exhibition, this year’s title of ‘Novum Principium’, should open in the season of Spring, a seasonal arena for the germination of new thoughts, ideas, expressions of beauty and curiosity. This display was available for our community to see, feel, smell and explore in our College Hall.
Work by all Year levels were represented in the disciplines of Art, Media, Visual Communications, Food Technology and Product Design Technology. The standard is impressive; not surprising after our many and varied school entries at this year’s Royal Melbourne Show secured us overall 3rd Place.
Congratulations to all the students and a special thanks to Arts & Technology Leader, Joanna Grujovski and the Arts/Technology team for this most impressive event.
On Monday 16th October we say Farewell to our Class of 2023 at school assembly. We applaud the individual academic achievements of students and the positive impression the Year 12 collective made on our community this year. In particular, we note our 2023 Prefect Team led by our College Captains, Celeste Barravecchio and Chloe Collin. New ideas and programs were introduced by this year’s Prefects leaving a legacy of learning such as an increased awareness of socio-economic disparity in our community, learning more of the history of indigenous Australians, and many other inspiring successes building a positive and inclusive school culture. The House Co-curricular initiative which brought students across all levels together to support their House charity, is a program that will certainly continue.
Thank you to the 2023 Prefects:
