From the Principal
As we embrace the blessings of unity and growth within our college community, let us also take a moment to reflect upon the significance of this week in the Church liturgical calendar. Sunday, March 25th, marked the fourth Sunday in Ordinary Time, a time of reflection and renewal in our faith tradition. In the Church liturgical calendar, Ordinary Time is a reminder to find the extraordinary in the ordinary moments of our lives, to seek God's presence, and to cultivate a deeper sense of reverence and mindfulness in our journey of faith. This week, may we have been inspired by the teachings of Christ to embrace the ordinary moments of our lives with gratitude, compassion, and love for one another.
This past week, I had the privilege of meeting with each pastoral group of our vibrant Year 7 students. During our conversations, the students shared their experiences and reflections on the recent camp and how much they are enjoying ACS on Tuesday afternoons! Their seamless transition into secondary education is a testament to their resilience, adaptability, and the unwavering support of our dedicated staff.
Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools Art Competition
Congratulations to the students whose artwork has been selected for this year’s Creative Arts for Exhibition During Catholic Education Week, from March 10th to 17th. Names and artwork are featured in this newsletter by Maria Cunnington, the Visual Arts Leader.
VCE Campus Project Update
Our VCE Campus, also known as Stage 1 of the Masterplan, is progressing nicely. Once we have received the permit, things will start to progress. If you are keen to see what is getting us excited for the future of the college, see the fly-through of the proposed facilities here.
