From the Principal

Last night marked the official opening of our 2025 College Production of Grease, and what a phenomenal performance it was! From the vibrant costumes to the energetic choreography and heartfelt singing, our students delivered a show that had the audience completely enthralled.

A sincere thank you to all who attended Opening Night, your presence and encouragement mean so much to our performers and crew.

On Wednesday morning, we were delighted to welcome grades 4-6 students from St Michaels, St Brendan and Holy Rosary to a special matinee performance. We extend our thanks to their Principals, and their teachers, for accompanying their students and supporting this event.

We also extend our thanks to the dedicated staff, led by Nadia La Velle, who gave so generously of their time, often after school hours and on weekends to rehearse, plan and support every element of the production.

For those joining us for this evening’s performance or Saturday’s final show, you are in for an unforgettable night. The talent, energy, and teamwork on display truly bring the world of Grease to life.

Significant progress continues the construction of our new Senior Years building, marking an exciting chapter in the College’s growth. Excavation of the basement has been completed, and the structural works are now rising back up to ground level, and over the coming months, the framework for the upper levels will begin to take shape.

As this is our final newsletter for the term, I would like to congratulate all students on their achievements throughout the semester. The efforts and progress made across all year levels have been commendable. I encourage students to take time during the break to review their Semester 1 reports, reflect on their growth, and begin preparing for the opportunities and challenges of Semester 2, including the commencement of subject selection for 2026.

We also take this opportunity to farewell Mr Tiernach O’Reilly, who will conclude his time at the College at the end of this semester. We thank him for his contribution and wish him all the best for the future. We warmly welcome Ms Erica Tallis, who will be joining the College staff next term.

Wishing all staff, students and families a safe and restful Term break.
