From Year 10

The more that you read, the more things you will know; The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.
Dr Seuss   |   Oh, The Places You'll Go!

This quote reminds our students of the purpose of learning and how this journey of learning will take them to many places and pathways in their life. Our Year 10 students continued to identify their personal strengths and areas for improvement related to their studies and had an opportunity to discuss their study schedule in one-on-one sessions in Success Advisor Session. In Future Me, they explore their temperaments and skills related to different jobs. As the term is getting busier, our Year 10s are determined to continue with their journey and build up their stamina when experiencing difficulties.

On the 8th of March, St Aloysius College had our first assembly as a co-ed school. We have had a busy past 2 weeks in year 10 because this is the time of the term where we have lots of assignments and tasks due. The year 10 students have been studying hard for essays and tests and working very hard in class.

Last week the college had a guest speaker come in for International Women’s day. We were delighted to have Virginia Trioli come in to tell us about her life and the hard work of women. Her speech was very inspirational, and it was great to hear about her hardships throughout her career and how she faced them. The speech was followed with a sausage sizzle held by the Year 12 Prefects.
