Year 12 Final Weeks

The Year 12 cohort of 2022 celebrated their final weeks with many memorable College events, the Year 12 Final Assembly and Celebration afternoon on the 13th and the Graduation Mass and Valedictory Dinner on the 20th of October.

The celebrations commenced with a whole school assembly where Ms Farah recognised the many accomplishments of the students. Our College Co captains Savannah Clark and Alyssa Americo then delivered both a motivating and entertaining final address in which they were able to thank their teachers, friends and family for their ongoing support.

During this assembly many students were acknowledged with Academic Excellence awards for each subject area, Sports Awards and Special Awards. Our Prefects were presented with their framed Prefect pockets and thanked for their hard work and dedication to the College.

The assembly concluded with a video showcasing the wonderful memories that the students have shared at St Aloysius. Special thanks to Abby Jones and Savannah Clark for the many hours spent organising this. The assembly concluded with the cohort singing the School Song and processing out of the College Hall for the final time. The afternoon was filled with festivities, with many dressing up in costumes to celebrate their final day at the College.

The Valedictory evening began with a prayerful mass led by Father Thang Vu from St Brendan’s Parish Church. The cohort and families then celebrated together with a dinner at San Remo Ballroom in Carlton North. Mary Farah, our College Principal, addressed the Year 12s, their families, and special guests, recognising their many contributions and achievements prior to the students being presented with their graduation certificates.

Souad Abou Eid, the Valedictorian of 2022 delivered a wonderful speech where she thanked friends, teachers and families for all their support and wished the cohort of 2022 much success.

The evening was a wonderful celebration for a very special cohort! We wish all the students the best for their upcoming exams.
