From Year 7
What a special year 2023 has been, one I will forever cherish having the opportunity to be a part of welcoming the new co-ed cohort for the year.
My favourite teaching moment was on camp when students used the newly acquired skills to navigate the flying fox. Another non-teaching highlight for me was having the privilege of watching students enter the College gates without a friend, only to leave with a handful of them. The biggest growth opportunity for me hands-down was working with a much larger cohort and making sure that each student felt heard and known. The best opportunity for innovation in the classroom was using the Universal Learning Program (ULP) principles to support feedback and reflection.
I sincerely wish each Year 7 student all the best as they move into a new chapter of their secondary school journey. May they take with them all the learning and skills they have developed in this their first year of high school. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Pastoral Leaders, they play an integral role in the learning and wellbeing of each student in their care.
Thanks for all your hard work and dedication!
