Mercy in Action
Year 11 Mercy in Action Program
We are excited to announce a new program for Year 11 students not participating in ACS sport this Term.
Each Wednesday afternoon students will be involved in a range of Social Justice Activities designed to connect with and serve our local community. The students will hear from guest speakers from Young Mercy Links and the North Melbourne English Language School. Students will run activities with students at St Michael’s Primary School, participate in clean-up excursions around North Melbourne and reinvigorate the worm farm installed by Year 10s last year. We will travel to the Big City Headquarters to participate in their Education Program to learn more about homelessness and their important work.
School of St Jude
Having locked in our sponsorship of a student at the School of St Jude in Tanzania, we are happy to announce that Caren has commenced her third year. You can see the photo of her on her first day of school in her new uniform!
The Social Justice Club and other groups will be sending letters and communicating with Caren and her classmates.
