Player Spotlight: Zoe & Amelie Mullins

Why did you choose to try out for the netball team?
To be part of the first ever Netball team to compete in the ACS competition. We tried out because we play outside of school and love playing. To become better players we wanted to sign up and try out for the team and by doing so we have made so many new friends.

What do you enjoy the most about ACS netball?
We enjoy the netball competition so much. We are becoming better each week and getting to know the other schools is really enjoyable. Our favourite part is playing with friends!

What are you looking forward to this season in ACS Netball?

We are looking forward to getting our first win of the season!

A fun fact about us is that we both love sport!

Coach Spotlight: Ms Emma Turner

What is your role as Netball Coach at St Aloysius?
My role as a Netball Coach at St Aloysius is to work closely with the other netball coaches and encourage participation across all year levels. I deliver training sessions that focus on developing the fundamental skills in Netball and coach them against different schools.

Why do you choose to assist our Netball program?
I chose to assist the Netball program because I played representative Netball for several years and have coached at multiple clubs.

What do you value or enjoy the most about coaching Netball?
I enjoy watching the students have fun and strive to do their best in games.

What has been your favourite memory so far coaching Netball at St Aloysius?
My favourite memory so far coaching Netball is watching students that haven’t played before running onto the court with a big smile on their face or score a goal for the first time.

Fun fact about you?
A fun fact about me is I ruptured my ACL in 2017 playing in my Netball grand final.
