Celebrating Student Success

Royal Melbourne Show

Our talented Design and Technology and Visual Arts students once again demonstrated their creativity, skill and dedication through their outstanding entries in the Melbourne Royal Show. From fashion and textiles to painting, ceramics and drawing, our students proudly represented our school, and their success certainly did not disappoint!

Our Textiles students entered an impressive range of work across a variety of categories, including evening dresses, hoodies, casual daywear, millinery, character cushions and tote bags. Each piece showcased the students’ developing technical skills, creativity and ability to transform their ideas into beautifully crafted finished products.

The fashion entries demonstrated confidence in garment construction, pattern development, fabric selection and attention to detail. Evening dresses and casual daywear highlighted students’ understanding of contemporary fashion, while the hoodies reflected their ability to respond to current trends and create garments with both style and functionality. The millinery pieces demonstrated imagination and craftsmanship, while the character cushions and tote bags showcased the creativity and enthusiasm of our younger designers.

Our Visual Arts students also made a wonderful contribution, showcasing their artistic talents through paintings, ceramics and drawing. Their entries reflected individuality, imagination and a willingness to experiment with different materials, techniques and artistic processes. From carefully developed drawings and expressive paintings to thoughtfully crafted ceramic pieces, our students demonstrated the breadth of talent within our Visual Arts program.

Participating in the Melbourne Royal Show provides students with an authentic opportunity to share their work with the wider community and have their achievements recognised beyond the classroom. It is a wonderful celebration of the talent, perseverance and commitment our students demonstrate throughout the year.

We are incredibly proud of every student who entered and congratulate them on their achievements. Their success is a testament to their creativity, resilience, confidence, technical skills and willingness to challenge themselves.

A huge congratulations to all our students and the staff who supported them. We are extremely proud of the wonderful representation of our school at the Melbourne Royal Show!
