Sacramental Program
On Sunday 31st August, four of our students celebrated the Sacrament of Confirmation with the Holy Rosary Parish community. Kleo Cieplik (7C), Oliver Rogan (7G), Matthew Cicero (8B) and Andrew Cetinich (8D) participated in a six-week preparation program led by Sr Loreto Lynch.
During lunchtime sessions, Sr Loreto guided the students in exploring the meaning of Confirmation, its connection to Pentecost, and the gifts of the Holy Spirit. They also deepened their understanding of the anointing with chrism, the role of sponsors, and the significance of choosing a Confirmation name inspired by a Catholic saint.
In the lead-up to the celebration, the students were presented to the parish community at a Mass where they also participated in the offertory procession. One week later, they received the Sacrament of Confirmation from Bishop Martin Ashe, surrounded by the prayerful support of family and friends. The celebration was a beautiful liturgy, jointly led by Father Thang Vu and carefully prepared by the staff of Holy Rosary Catholic Primary School, including Ms Allison Azzopardi.
