Achol Taban has had an excellent start to her ACS career as a Soccer star! Achol missed the first game of the season but her first match against Westbourne was special! Achol scored all of our 9 goals in an amazing win for the Year 7s against Westbourne on their home soil. We won the match 9-4.

ACS Sport (Years 7-9)

Term 1 was a busy term in ACS Sport and we congratulate all students for their commitment and participation in the summer season so far. We now move into the Winter Season which runs throughout Terms 2 and 3. Tryouts will take place over the next couple of weeks, with many teams' seasons beginning in Week 5.

We encourage parents & students to download the ACS app where they can stay up to date with fixtures, results and ladders!

CGSAV Indoor Cricket

On 26th March, fifteen Year 10 and 11 students travelled to Box Hill Indoor Sports Centre for the CGSAV Indoor Cricket Tournament. The whole squad performed strongly, with inexperienced players improving throughout the tournament and experienced players showing leadership by encouraging other players and showing excellent skills.

The Senior team won their last round game to achieve an equal second ranking, but they missed out on the Grand Final due to a lower run-difference. The Intermediate team were undefeated after four games and were looking like locking in a Grand Final place. Losing the next two games strengthened their resolve and helped them win the final round game and secure their Grand Final berth against Ave Maria.

The Grand Final was a tight game, with Ave Maria scoring 77 off their 8 overs. Each St Aloysius batting pair made a good contribution to the total using smart and competitive batting. On the last ball, with 4 runs to win, Mary-Grace hit a no-ball down the court into and ran. Ave Maria misfielded and Mary-Grace and Addison ran 3 runs to bring us to victory with 79. There was jubilation as the whole squad celebrated their well-deserved victory. The whole squad can be commended on their attitude and skills. Special mention goes to Mary-Grace who was also awarded Best on Pitch.

Personal Achievements

Congratulations to Millie Delaney (Year 9) who won her Basketball Grand Final in the Keilor Association U16 for Aberfeldie Jets. Ruby Delaney (Year 8) finished runner up for her team. Well done to the Delaneys!
