ACS Sport

ACS Cross Country

Students have been working hard preparing for Cross Country with weekly sessions occurring on Thursday mornings. We have a large group of competitors this year and we look forward to amazing results. ACS Cross Country – Friday 22nd August 10am at Bundoora Park

Highlights

Basketball

• Year 7A Girls kicked off strong with a close 28–25 win over Overnewton - an edge-of-your-seat thriller that showed real grit.
• Year 7B Girls followed up with a crisp 24–13 victory over the same Overnewton side - an all-round solid performance.
• Senior 2nd Girls obliterated the competition with a decisive 70–4 triumph over Westbourne - a dominant display.
• Intermediate A & B Girls both edged out St Michael’s with tight 40–39 and comfortable 46–13 wins, respectively - clutch offense paired with defensive savvy.
• Back in action on August 5, Year 7A Girls held off Westbourne in a 38–33 battle, while Year 7B Girls dispatched Loyola 33–18 - both showcasing sharp shooting.
• On August 6, Senior 2nd Girls delivered a commanding 53–8 win over Overnewton, and Sen 3rd Girls edged past Westbourne 28–20 - both solid offensive efforts.

Football/AFL

• The Year 7A Boys had a stellar run on August 5, routing Westbourne with an impressive 49–4; their offense clicked beautifully while defense shut down the opposition.

Netball

• Intermediate B Girls pulled off a gritty 20–9 win against St Michael’s, and Intermediate C Girls followed suit with an 8–26 result - a pair of confident performances.
• Year 7C Girls stunned Westbourne on August 5, dominating the court 14–4 - a standout display of precision and pressure.
• On August 6, Senior 3rd Girls Blue delivered a commanding 37–11 win over St Leonard’s - strong all-around play.

Hockey

• Intermediate A Girls pulled off a proud moment on August 7, beating Westbourne 3–1 - a sweet victory earned through grit and teamwork.

Soccer

• Intermediate B Boys grabbed a solid 6–3 win versus St Michael’s on July 31 - controlled play sealed it.
• On August 7, Intermediate B Boys claimed a 2–0 victory over Loyola with disciplined defense, while Intermediate D Boys blitzed Westbourne 7–1 - a stunning offensive performance.

Tennis

• Intermediate A Boys delivered a thorough 8-4 win over St Michael’s on July 31
• Year 7A Boys followed suit on August 5 with a 9-3 win over St Michael’s

Table Tennis

• Senior 2nd Girls triumphed over Loyola with a solid 9-3 win on August 6

Volleyball

• Year 7A Boys sealed the deal on August 5, pounding Westbourne 3-1 - a dominant display of skill and coordination.
