A standout fortnight

Sports Update

ACS Sport

Across a busy fortnight of ACS sport, St Aloysius teams produced a number of impressive performances and memorable wins. The Year 7A Cricket side continued their strong start to the term with a well-earned victory, displaying excellent teamwork and composure in both batting and bowling. The Year 7D, 7B, and 7C Boys Basketball teams also recorded convincing wins, showcasing sharp defence and confidence in attack. In addition, the Year 7A Boys Table Tennis and Year 7A Girls Tennis teams impressed with disciplined, well-rounded performances that secured solid results for the college.

At the intermediate level, several teams shone brightly. The Intermediate A Boys Hockey side claimed a decisive win with a strong defensive effort and well-executed teamwork. The Intermediate B Boys Softball team dominated their match with a powerful display in the field and consistent batting, while the Intermediate A Girls Tennis team notched a tight but well-deserved victory after a series of competitive sets. The Intermediate B Girls Blue Soccer team also stood out, producing an 8–1 win through impressive attacking play and excellent team cohesion. Overall, it was a fantastic fortnight for St Aloysius sport, reflecting the students’ hard work, sportsmanship, and enthusiasm across all competitions.

ACS Girls Cricket Competition

On Wednesday the 29th, we had the pleasure of competing in the ACS girls cricket competition. The weather was amazing and the time brought energy, effort and excitement to the 3 games we participated in. We had a great time with some great results, winning one match and nearly losing 2 matches. The team made up of year 7s, 8s 10s and 11s were brought together as we batted, bowled and fielded as a team. The day overall was a great experience, as we had great support from the coaches and umpires as many of us had never tried cricket, but it was undoubtedly a great decision!
