Year 11 News

One of the main weeks on our calendar is International Women’s week. Homeroom was filled with different activities, from powerpoints to quizzes. For Nourish the girls were addressed by Dr Jessica Au, St Aloysius College former student, international futsal athlete & surgical resident . This was all the right amount of inspiration for the girls to think of which kind of impact they want to make in their society.

During the term, we have also been studying the documentary Final Quarter, which is about Adam Goode’s divisive mistreatment at AFL. This has allowed the students to reflect on the idea of respect towards different groups of people, and what kinds of issues still persist in society.

These special sessions and lessons are definitely a growth-inspiring highlight of the term.
