Year 12
This week the new Year 12 Common Room, now named ‘The Chamber of Seniors’ opened for the students to enjoy. The larger space, which is part of D block and close to the Year 12 pastoral rooms allows the students a place to relax, eat together and enjoy a hot drink before school, recess, and lunchtime. The Year 12s were very excited to start using these facilities.
During Nourish, Eden our College Psychologist presented a session last week on Respectful Relationships, with a focus on safer socialising. Topics covered were - Assertive conversation, explaining how you feel and drawing on strengths in social situations. This week Eden has presented on the topic of Stress management – looking at strategies to support the students and enable them to manage the sometimes challenging and busy periods of Year 12.
Year 12s continue to meet with the Ms Abelardo our VET/VCAL & Careers Pathway Leader for their careers interviews, in preparation for the VTAC application process.
