Catholic Education Week

From the Principal

There are things that remind us, even resound with us, regarding the past. There are our stories for instance – such as how the Sisters foundered St Aloysius – and there are tangible reminders such as historic buildings and symbols.

From the Deputy Principal

Of energetic, positive and encouraging spirit is the way I would describe the healthy and respectful attitudes of our swimmers at the ACS Swimming Competition held this week at MSAC.

From the Director of Catholic Mission & Mercy Ethos

Faith and Mission

The theme for Catholic Education Week 2023 was: Forming lives of faith, hope and love in the light of Christ. The week coincides with the feast day of St Patrick with a special celebration Mass on St Patrick’s Day Friday 17 March at the Cathedral.

From the President

Sports Update

Tuesday the 14th March was the annual ACS Swimming Championships. Our swimming Squad had been preparing for this event with afternoon training sessions at North Melbourne swimming pool.

From Year 7

Much like the poet in “False start” we may have found ourselves feeling excited to begin in a new place

From Year 8

Well, the last of the three pastoral groups 8C returned last Wednesday with big smiling faces after bonding with their pastoral group.

From Year 9

This week and next week Year 9 students are participating in the NAPLAN tests. NAPLAN is the National Assessment Program Literacy and Numeracy.

From Year 10

The more that you read, the more things you will know; The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go

From the Senior Years

Over the past fortnight, students in the Senior Years have had a range of opportunities to experience the various ‘glories’ that come with overcoming obstacles, whether large or small, literal or figurative.

Explore further

We invite you to join us on a tour to explore our Curran Street Campus, meet our Leadership Team and learn more about the exciting future in store for St Aloysius College.
