Debating
On Monday, 17th October St Aloysius College had five teams competing in the Debaters Association of Victoria (DAV) online competition. The results are as follows:
Junior School Competition – Round 1
- Team 1: Annie-Rose Attard, Ruby Gallenti-Di Ciero, Gemma Lehane – loss by small margin
- Team 2: Mya Borg, Nina Cutuli, Olivia Thaus – win by forfeit
- Team 3: Polly-Jean Butterfield, Astha Bharadwaj, Ruby Thomas – win
In the Senior Finals – Year 9 Division, students competed against 32 Year 9 teams from 20 participating schools, including well known schools from the Northern, Western, and Eastern suburbs of Melbourne. We congratulate the below students on an outstanding effort.
- Olivia Tringali, Aurelia Raimondo, Carlota Ham-Lopez – 2nd overall in the Year 9 online competition
- Olivia Mosticone, Jasmine Foo, Blain Adera – 3rd overall in the Year 9 online competition
