From Year 11

The Year 11 Examinations have concluded this week and have run smoothly for all students. It is a credit to the year level that they have completed the exams with focus, calm and positivity that they have done their best. This is something that distinguishes them as leaders within the College community and this mindset will hold them in good stead for their Year 12 year ahead. Examination results are an important indicator of student performance and preparation that Year 11 students will use as part of their ATAR predictor for their 2024 ATAR result. This provides the students with a realistic expectation of where they are at as 2023 finishes and what goals and targets they would like to set for the following year.

Week 7 brings Unit 2 studies to a close, with the ‘Step Ahead 2024’ program beginning on Monday 20 November – Friday 1 December. This is an important steppingstone for Year 11 students as they begin their Year 12 academic year. Having come from schools where there was no ‘Step Ahead’ program, I can recommend this as a major advantage to St Aloysius students and for them to maximise this learning opportunity to set the tone for their next year.
