From Year 8

It has been a very exciting start to Term 4 for all the students in Year 8, as over the next 3 weeks each pastoral group will be going on camp at the College’s Torquay campus. The Year 8 camp experience will provide each student with the opportunity to step out of their comfort zone whilst having fun and learning new skills. The students will enjoy surfing, raft building and beach carnival activities, whilst also taking time out to relax, connect and bond with friends. The students will be challenged to solve problems applying new strategies and skills with the support and encouragement of their friends and teachers. There is no doubt in my mind this will certainly be a memorable camp and one of the many highlights this year.

Camp Reflections
8C will leave for camp in Torquay on Wednesday, October 5th. I'm looking forward to doing new things outside of my comfort zone and am thrilled to go surfing with my class. The break from school and time with my friends are things I'm looking forwards to.

Lots of year 8s are excited for rowing to start back in term 4. Apart from the early wake-ups, rowing is a great exercise and a fun time to spend with your friends.
