Year 10 Art
NGV Excursion
The Year 10 Art class were fortunate to conclude the first semester of their 2022 studies with an excursion to the NGV Australia, viewing Top Arts ’22, followed by a viewing of Australian Portraiture: Who Are You, which linked in with their own studies of portraiture and the creation of a self-portrait.
At the NGVA, students participated in a session titled Draw and Explore! where they built on their creative and observational drawing skills, while discovering ideas and stories behind select artworks. The students were provided with an opportunity to widen their thinking about portraiture and discover new and imaginative ways to create portraits to represent who they are.
