ACS Sport

Welcome back to Term 3! We hope everyone enjoyed a well-earned break and had the opportunity to rest, recharge, and spend time with family and friends. As we return to school, we're excited to see our students ready to embrace the second half of the ACS Winter Season with energy, commitment, and enthusiasm. The weeks ahead promise plenty of exciting competition, with Semi Final week fast approaching on 18-20 August, followed by Grand Final week on 25-27 August. Every training session and match from here plays an important role, and we look forward to seeing our teams continue to grow, compete, and represent our school with pride throughout the remainder of the season.

Students Achievements – Hockey Success

Congratulations to three St Aloysius students who proudly represented their region at the Junior State Championship Hockey Tournament over the school holidays. Conducted annually by Hockey Victoria, this prestigious tournament brings together talented junior hockey players from across the state.

Our students were selected to represent the North West Tigers Zone, a representative team comprising the best players from six local hockey clubs, and they achieved some outstanding results:

  • Polly Beaumont (Year 7) – Under 14 Girls – Silver Medal
  • Charlotte Fitzgerald (Year 7) – Under 12 Girls – Gold Medal
  • Ivy Daniels (Year 7) – Under 12 Girls – Gold Medal

We also extend a special congratulations to Charlotte Fitzgerald, who has recently been selected in the Victorian Under 12 State Schools Team. Charlotte will represent Victoria at the national championships in October, an outstanding achievement and a testament to her dedication and hard work.

We are incredibly proud of Polly, Charlotte and Ivy for their fantastic accomplishments and wish Charlotte all the very best as she prepares to represent Victoria later this year.
