From the Principal
This morning, September 1st we celebrated the annual Father’s Day breakfast. We thank the many fathers and significant others who attended this occasion with their sons and daughters.

The 2023 Prefects led an initiative aimed to increase student inclusion, participation, enjoyment, challenge and spirit and developed the Term 3 House Co-curricular Initiative.
Frayne Festival
The Frayne Festival is a gathering of students from schools founded in the traditions of Mercy education.
Book Week
Each year since 1945 the Children's Book Council of Australia (CBCA) has brought students and books together across Australia through Children's Book Week.
Confirmation Sunday
During the Sunday 10:30 am Mass on the 27th of August 2023, two of our students in the sacramental program received the Sacrament of Confirmation at St Brendan’s Church, Flemington.
AMSSA
‘Mercy in Liminal Times’ was the theme for the 2023 AMSSA staff conference which was attend by Ms Siobhan Bloomfield, Mr Michael Chesser and Ms Theresa Daunt.

Yoga Class
Come along and enjoy a yoga class raising funds for a house-building project in Cambodia.
Mercy Day
Mercy Day is official commemorated on the 24th of September, which is the anniversary of the opening of the first ‘House of Mercy’ in Dubil Ireland in 1827 by Catherne McAuley and her two companions, Anna Maria Doyle and Catherine Byrn.
Seeds of Justice
The Seeds of Justice Regional Conference took place on 31st August to 1st September in Anglesea.
Year 8 and 9 Trivia Night
Much fun was had by all at the Community Connect Year 8 and 9 trivia night on August 18.
Sport Update
Congratulations to all students on their efforts throughout the ACS winter season! All students displayed excellent skill and teamwork throughout the season.
ACS Badminton
The Year 7 ACS Badminton squad consisted of a vibrant group of 16 talented students spent the season competing in single, doubles, and mixed doubles events.

On Monday, we had the pleasure of experiencing another captivating and meticulously executed pastoral assembly by the students of 8B.
Year 8 STEAM
The Year 8 STEAM students recently created their own puzzles based on an endangered Australian species as part of the investigation into the benefits of using puzzles to build a range of skills.
From Year 9
With two weeks to go including Mercy Day, Year 9 Camp and Reflection Days, there is a great deal of excitement around the Year 9 students.
From Year 10
The past two weeks have been quite eventful and busy for our Year 10 students.
From the Senior Years
Year 12 and Year 11 students studying a Unit 3/4 subject are in the midst of the busiest period of their academic year.
